Where it is

On the little toe, beside the nail corner on the side away from the other toes.

Nearby: Toenail. Very little tissue.

Traditionally said to

Jing-well and metal point of the Bladder. Famous in classical obstetrics for malposition of a baby, usually with moxa in a clinic. That is not a home experiment, and the point is otherwise listed among those avoided for general stimulation in pregnancy.

What people look up

Acupressure

If you are only learning the spot and you are not pregnant, a light touch for 15–20 seconds is enough.

When not to press: Do not use in pregnancy on your own, do not apply heat or moxa from an app, and do not prick the toe.

About 30–90 seconds is the usual window, unless the step above is shorter. Stop if pain, dizziness, or anything unusual shows up.

Licensed practice only

Needle depth, angle, electroacupuncture

Textbook language for students. Not instructions. A cun is a body-inch on that person, not a ruler inch. Do not needle yourself.

Depth

Often about 0.1 cun, or a historical prick. Moxa protocols for fetal position belong only with a licensed prenatal practitioner.

Angle

Shallow, beside the nail.

Electroacupuncture

Introductory charts rarely assign a standard electroacupuncture setting here. Clinics that use current choose frequency and intensity for that person. No milliamp figure is given, because copying one would be misleading.
