Where it is

On the inner leg, about five thumb-widths above the tip of the inner ankle bone, on the back border of the tibia.

Nearby: Inner shin bone. The saphenous vein can be visible. Don’t press a vein.

Traditionally said to

Luo point of the Liver. Traditional notes mention the genitals, including erectile difficulty in some manuals, and menstrual patterns. Those symptoms need proper care. The point is here so the category is learnable, not as a treatment.

What people look up

Acupressure

Press the back edge of the shin bone for 30–45 seconds, off any visible vein.

When not to press: Genital symptoms, sores, or cycle bleeding that worries you: see a clinician.

About 30–90 seconds is the usual window, unless the step above is shorter. Stop if pain, dizziness, or anything unusual shows up.

Licensed practice only

Needle depth, angle, electroacupuncture

Textbook language for students. Not instructions. A cun is a body-inch on that person, not a ruler inch. Do not needle yourself.

Depth

Common textbook range: about 0.5–1 cun perpendicular or slightly posterior.

Angle

Perpendicular, posterior to the tibial border.

Electroacupuncture

Introductory charts rarely assign a standard electroacupuncture setting here. Clinics that use current choose frequency and intensity for that person. No milliamp figure is given, because copying one would be misleading.
