Where it is

On the midline, about three thumb-widths below the navel.

Nearby: Lower abdomen and, in pregnancy, the uterus. Small intestine front-mu. Deep pressure is not self-care.

Traditionally said to

Front-mu of the Small Intestine. A classic point for source qi, deep tiredness, and cold lower-abdomen patterns. Textbooks often group it with erectile difficulty and fertility language when the picture is kidney yang. In pregnancy it is sometimes used by specialists and avoided by others; this app treats strong self-pressure as caution, not a routine. Not a treatment for ED.

What people look up

Acupressure

Warm palm, slow circles, 45–60 seconds. No fingertips drilling in.

When not to press: Skip strong pressure in pregnancy. Skip pelvic pain, bleeding, or a missed period you have not had checked.

About 30–90 seconds is the usual window, unless the step above is shorter. Stop if pain, dizziness, or anything unusual shows up.

Licensed practice only

Needle depth, angle, electroacupuncture

Textbook language for students. Not instructions. A cun is a body-inch on that person, not a ruler inch. Do not needle yourself.

Depth

Common textbook range: about 0.8–1.5 cun perpendicular after urination. Depth is meaningless without training and is not used in early pregnancy in ordinary teaching.

Angle

Perpendicular, midline.

Electroacupuncture

Introductory charts rarely assign a standard electroacupuncture setting here. Clinics that use current choose frequency and intensity for that person. No milliamp figure is given, because copying one would be misleading.
