Where it is

Just below the collarbone, about two thumb-widths lateral to the midline, in the hollow.

Nearby: Lung apex and large vessels of the neck and chest. This is the last Kidney point. Do not press deeply under the collarbone.

Traditionally said to

End of the Kidney channel on the chest. Local point in teaching for cough and chest oppression.

What people look up

Acupressure

Fingertip in the hollow, very light, 20–30 seconds. Not under the bone.

When not to press: Skip if breathing is already difficult.

About 30–90 seconds is the usual window, unless the step above is shorter. Stop if pain, dizziness, or anything unusual shows up.

Licensed practice only

Needle depth, angle, electroacupuncture

Textbook language for students. Not instructions. A cun is a body-inch on that person, not a ruler inch. Do not needle yourself.

Depth

Transverse-oblique, often 0.5–0.8 cun laterally. Pneumothorax risk. Many schools treat subclavicular points as advanced.

Angle

Transverse, lateral, along the chest — never deep behind the clavicle.

Electroacupuncture

Introductory charts rarely assign a standard electroacupuncture setting here. Clinics that use current choose frequency and intensity for that person. No milliamp figure is given, because copying one would be misleading.
