Where it is
In the hollow at the outer end of the eyebrow.
Nearby: The eye and the temple. This is a shallow face point.
Traditionally said to
End region of San Jiao on the face. Taught for temporal headache and twitching around the eye in classical language. Do not expect it to treat eye disease.
What people look up
Acupressure
One fingertip, very light circles, 20–40 seconds. Never toward the eyeball.
When not to press: Skip if the eye is red, painful, or vision has changed. That is an eye exam, not a point.
About 30–90 seconds is the usual window, unless the step above is shorter. Stop if pain, dizziness, or anything unusual shows up.
Licensed practice only
Needle depth, angle, electroacupuncture
Textbook language for students. Not instructions. A cun is a body-inch on that person, not a ruler inch. Do not needle yourself.
Depth
Transverse only, often about 0.3–0.5 cun subcutaneously. No deep insertion. The eye is adjacent.
Angle
Transverse, posteriorly along the temple or along the brow — never deep, never toward the eye.
Electroacupuncture
Introductory charts rarely assign a standard electroacupuncture setting here. Clinics that use current choose frequency and intensity for that person. No milliamp figure is given, because copying one would be misleading.
