Traditional uses

White chrysanthemum is the usual medicinal flower. Texts send it to headache, red or tired eyes, and a light wind-heat. It does not fix glaucoma, infection, or vision loss.

Common pairings

  • Bo He 薄荷

A light pair for the head when heat is at the surface.

  • Gou Qi Zi 枸杞子

Flower and fruit of the eye lesson: one cools, one nourishes. A common tea idea, still not a dose.

Cautions

Not for self-dosing as medicine. People with chrysanthemum or ragweed allergy should be careful even with tea.
