Where it is

At the corner of the forehead, about half a finger inside the hairline, in line with the outer corner of the eye.

Nearby: Temple and hairline. Shallow tissue over the skull.

Traditionally said to

Taught for frontal and temporal headache, and for dizziness framed as a yang-ming pattern. Dizziness with other neurological signs needs care.

What people look up

Acupressure

Fingertips along the hairline, light, 30–45 seconds. Not a grind into the skull.

When not to press: Sudden worst-ever headache, weakness, or confusion: emergency care.

About 30–90 seconds is the usual window, unless the step above is shorter. Stop if pain, dizziness, or anything unusual shows up.

Licensed practice only

Needle depth, angle, electroacupuncture

Textbook language for students. Not instructions. A cun is a body-inch on that person, not a ruler inch. Do not needle yourself.

Depth

Transverse, often 0.5–1 cun subcutaneously along the scalp. Not into the skull.

Angle

Transverse, posteriorly or toward the temple, under the scalp.

Electroacupuncture

Introductory charts rarely assign a standard electroacupuncture setting here. Clinics that use current choose frequency and intensity for that person. No milliamp figure is given, because copying one would be misleading.
