Traditional uses
The usual herb in a textbook when the forehead, sinuses, or upper teeth are the region of a wind pattern. Aromatic and warm. It is not a decongestant you can safely stack with other drugs on your own.

A head-pain pair: Bai Zhi for the front, Chuan Xiong moving the qi and blood of the head.

Warm and cool together when a stuffy head is not clearly one temperature.
