Where it is

On the midline, between the eyebrows, at the glabella. Extra point, often numbered EX-HN3. Not a Du point, though it sits on the Du line.

Nearby: Frontal sinus and the eyes below. Shallow.

Traditionally said to

The extra point everyone already touches when they are tired. Traditionally said to calm shen, ease a busy mind, and soften frontal headache or sinus pressure. A learning and settling point, not a sleep medicine and not brain care.

What people look up

Acupressure

Index finger or thumb, light downward or simply resting, 45–90 seconds, eyes soft.

When not to press: Skip if the sinus is acutely infected and the bone is very tender, or if headache is sudden and severe.

About 30–90 seconds is the usual window, unless the step above is shorter. Stop if pain, dizziness, or anything unusual shows up.

Licensed practice only

Needle depth, angle, electroacupuncture

Textbook language for students. Not instructions. A cun is a body-inch on that person, not a ruler inch. Do not needle yourself.

Depth

Pinch the skin and needle transversely downward, often 0.3–0.5 cun. Subcutaneous. Not toward the eyes or deep into the sinus.

Angle

Transverse, inferior, pinched skin.

Electroacupuncture

Introductory charts rarely assign a standard electroacupuncture setting here. Clinics that use current choose frequency and intensity for that person. No milliamp figure is given, because copying one would be misleading.
